-news and rumours- welcome to perhaps my most favourite chapter, here we can find the latest scene happenings, rumours and spelling mistakes. the news will be published in a-z format counting in the major cracking groups of the scene, followed by a seperate section where other groups status and oneliners can be found. lets throw the spanner in the works. ........................................ alphaflight 1970 (ger, fin, pol) ........................................ a very active session this time for the flight, the lost their world headquarters 'the evil island' to chromance but in return gained the old arcade board 'holiday in cambodia' which runs on c+base mod and the sysop is pol pot, the also gained the excess board escapade which also runs on c+base and is held by xenox, (ex-iron/excess) their long serving graphician rrr finally left them to remain in oxyron only, although he will continue to support them. the flight recruited some more members, namely centarion/charged and ream/accuse as crackers. ramirez left them to join up with the coolies in talent and hawk/prescence and leader/ex-hysteric joined in as coders. on the board front they are not to active with just a few members calling out, lack of codes? or lack of activity it is unknown. boosted support was found with the return of their supplier secretman and diamond joining the flight as his third group. time will tell. afl memberstatus: marc-max-murphy-styx-stash-honesty-hawk- skidrow-aggressor-starkiller-secretman- leeway-xenox-centaurion-supreme-leader- ream-sys-diamond-dark-arne-mario-darius- spectator and stash alphaflight boards:- holiday in cambodia 1-510/689-8893 whq escapade +49/(0)53413956 ehq ........................................ avantgarde (ger, usa,uk,fin) ........................................ very active and stable group, with their loss of richie who left the scene, we have found some plus signs with him calling out now and then. the brilliant coder dave left the scene for better things. and onto further woes terminal obsession seems to be having problems with quite a few crashes and now its still down and rumour has it that the famous bbs will never go back up again. their success will continue avantgarde memberstatus:- deff-jack daniels-freestyle-hok-thorn- nevis-weasel-peter-tricom-skywolf-aman- darklord-magic man-pbxcellence-prodigy- derbyshire ram-pudwerx-decilon avantgarde boards:- terminal obsession 1-813/725-0263 (hq) the forum 1-810/xxx-xxxx (whq) ........................................ atlantis (ger, usa, den) ........................................ this group is coming back strong with rumours sating their great mag immortal flash will soon be out again! trooper/ex-scs+trc joined in and took his mag metamorphosis with him, this mag incidently will merger soon with another mag, trooper also joined in with agony as a second group. atlantis gained 'fortress of doom' as their american based whq, with the sysop nomad/ex-rad at the helm. they then gained more members, dr doom joined and so did darklord as a coder and swapper, things to come for sure!! atlantis memberstatus:- avalanche-backslash-benno-dreamlover- dr,science-dr,doom-dr,zoom-freddie-hitop human-kirby-lala-lynx-racer-rebel-snap- robocop-scull and trooper- atlantis boards:- fortress of doom 1-908/353-0391 (whq) powerengine +41/619011711 (ehq) ........................................ chromance (hun, ger, pol, usa) ........................................ very active group and there seems no stopping them. to start with the gained amc/charged as a supplier, and finally after a long time got a usa board as their whq after the loss of phibercom. 'the evil island' became the chromance posse's whq with the sysop ancient mariner. the board later also became the pulse whq, they thought if they could get one board then why not another! so 'edge of midnight' the old success board turned into another dwelling of chromance. the sysop rug rat, heavily modded the cyborg c+base and it turns out to be one of the better american c64 boards for hack/phreak discussion. their active fixer lion also joined up with psi as his fixing group. lord crucifier left the scene and also eom became a hq for psi aswell. things look great in the posse with many releases and the great 12 sided game 'newcomer' to arrive soon. chromance memberstatus:- jinx-blockbuster-mr,wax-jazzy d-griff- painkiller-alex-chum-joyride-the unholy- x releasing there double sided mag 'nitro' on a regular basis they have also hit the boards quite frequently with a few first releases and a lot of members calling out. they gained a usa board for their whq, 'deadzone' was put on with its sysop trouble. they then gained many members, midfit and new design left the waining x-rated and joined up, new design's mag 'outdoor' also became an excess mag. the authentic/maniax and liquid/ex-tropic also teamed up with the group. venice rejoined them but was later kicked out along side with pneumatic because of lazyness. dr,kaos left them and joined agony leaving the scene and taking down the popular board tunnel of wares, but its not that gloomy with the board going back up under a new number and sysop! zirco took on the board which is currently running on ucbbs 1,3 which will be updated to c+base in the future. they gained another member, this time being moloch/ex-armageddon, who teamed up with them as a supplier of probably both codes and games. things are getting back to normal and with tow back online and their polish supplier hain back from his holidays things will be stronger for the group. f4cg memberstatus:- different alligations made by vengeance/scs+trc and derbyshire ram/avt after several notes and board ragging it seems to have died down once again. peacemaker formed a hack/phreak group along with some local friends and they even have a board to support it. sundancer was kicked out because of internal problems with crossfire, so they are now searching for a graphician. the american, natas/ex-coders/afl joined up as ntsc fixer and also formed a fixing group called aristocracy. following this the former leader of bronx, bird joined up with the motivated posse and he also closed down his bbs called 'elmstreet' this very active group will do better as they avoid controversy and antaganizing alligations. motiv8 memberstatus:- crossfire-tricket-mason-iceball-ibanez- tg far from over with a recruitment of new members. among these was stone who was booted out of talent and joined in as a supplier. sanity/ex-fatum joined as a cracker. followed soon by underdog/atl. awa/tsr joined and changed handle to rooster, and earlier on the guy behind loading systems used in such games like turrican 2 etc, mws (markus wiederstein) was enforced into the crew as original -release charts- yes this is the chapter most of you loaded first, i don't care really on this but its very popular nowadays so i have included it. firstly i myself will be doing all the counting and checking of first releases and some reliable american friends will be responable for the testing of the ntsc fixes. lets start with the regulations, -domination release chart rules- the points system: pts 1 preview 2,x low budget (game on,pd,c-force) 3,x budget (markt + technik,cp verlag) 5,x full price (us gold, ocean, system 3) -5 for a re-release of any catorgory of ware -1 for a fix file or a second 100% fix by the same group. )quality points are also allocated, taken into consideration is the gameplay and the general quality of a ware. 0,0 to 0,9 points are added to the total points based on the quality of the ware. )lamer group wares will not be counted, -the ntsc/pal system- 2 points will be added to the total of a first release which was not released on pal before, if the fix isn't 100% then the pal only points are counted plus a -1 deduction for the non 100% fix. 1 point is given for a 100% fixed game which was released on pal and then fixed afterwards. to gain this point the fix must be put out on the major boards before 4 weeks after the pal version was released. if not, the fix will get 0.5 point. games over 6 months old will not be counted at all. but ofcourse mentioned. )no points are given to games made using any kind of game maker such as seuck, game maker, gac or quill. a version of a non-english game which is brought out within 6 weeks of release and is 100% english translated will recieve the first release points plus a bonus of 1 point for the translation. no bonus points are given if the translation is not perfect. )a first release is counted if it is spread on the majority of these major us boards: the shaolin temple/legend + tsm whq holiday in cambodia/afl+domination whq forum/avantgarde whq terminal obsession/avantgarde ehq down by law/talent whq the dungeon/scs+trc whq tunnel of wares/f4cg+20cc whq if problems still arise the following other major boards will be taken into consideration: edge of midnight/chromance hq forplay/talent hq the evil island/chromance whq )in case a group spreads their ware on 3 major boards only and the other groups spreads their version on the remaining majority of the counted boards then the first group gets the points if the time difference is at least 24 hours, less than that and the second group gets the points if its ware is on the majority of counted boards. )a ntsc/pal fixed ware must work on both pal and ntsc without any difference, without flickers or any slowing down. )no points are allocated to things such as docs files or special bonuses, but it will be mentioned that the group added anything to the original ware such as music, docs or any bug fixing. )if the game is in dire need to be level packed or trained in anyway and the group does not do this then that version is not counted as a first release and the next level packed and/or trained version will be counted. this rule is only brought it if its necessary or considered 'a need', lets begin. (not that i would be included anyways, hehe) with the surprising amount of votesheets for the first issue i hope to get a quite accurate result in the outcome of these charts, in each issue there will be a progressive and new chart format, which means two seperate charts, one containing added points onto previously earned ones and the other counts the points from the votesheets recieved each issue, lets start. ........................................ top single cracker: ........................................ pos: pts: name/group: 1 952 burglar/success+trc 2 764 powerplant/legend 3 490 count zero/talent 4 414 xxx/legend 5 347 derbyshire ram/avantgarde 6 321 benson/trsi 7 313 hain/f4cg 313 jack alien/avantgarde 8 277 bacchus/fairlight 9 275 bod/talent 10 233 crossfire/motiv8 11 215 chrysagon/talent 12 200 sauron/ex-ils 13 138 darkman/extacy 14 119 sailor/triad 15 114 supreme/alphaflight 1970 16 113 mason/motiv8 17 109 tss/success+trc 18 104 antitrack/f4cg 19 103 fletch/legend 20 96 hok/avantgarde 21 90 kingfisher/triad 22 75 calypso/amnesia+silicon 23 63 mr.wax/chromance 24 60 machinegun/trance 60 red rock/excess 25 35 sting/alphaflight 1970 26 29 snooze/equinoxe 29 zar/success+trc 27 27 met/mayhem 28 26 crazybird/xenon 26 crisp/trsi+dytec 26 cba/trc+success 29 25 moren/success+trc 30 24 sneaper/f4cg 31 23 sentinel/excess 32 22 thunderblade/awt 33 21 allitaice/citadel 34 20 painkiller/chromance 35 15 ray/ex-vision ........................................ comments: sneaper should deserve way higher, a very good cracker. people such as xxx, sauron and bod are not active enough yo be in the top 10 or 20. expect hain to gain more next issue. ........................................ top cracker groups: ........................................ pos: pts: name: 1 1296 success+trc 2 780 alphaflight 1970 3 641 legend 4 636 chromance 5 630 triad 6 549 talent 7 377 avantgarde 8 337 fairlight 9 328 trsi+dytec 10 300 excess 11 250 motiv8 12 222 trance 13 182 f4cg 14 162 extacy 15 107 amnesia+silicon 16 97 mayhem 17 75 airwolf team 18 41 atlantis 19 35 laser 20 33 bronx 21 31 xenon 22 26 rebels 23 21 citadel 24 20 genesis project ........................................ comments: what do we define in this catagory aswell as the previous one? the quality? the speed? the quantity? or in some cases the reputation?? well i prefer to look at both crackers and cracker groups, with a quality perspective. things like speed and quantity are given in the release charts and reputation should not be taken into consideration when putting pen to paper. groups like legend, talent, extacy and certainly trance should not be as high. i believe avantgarde will jump many places along side f4cg. ........................................ top demo groups: ........................................ pos: pts: name: recent product: 1 1213 crest buds 2 1190 oxyron comalight 12 3 1149 camelot tower power 4 995 censor design spasmolytic 5 902 triad portfolio 2 6 776 fairlight skaaneland 7 519 antic lunacy 7 8 508 topaz beerline p,child 2 9 318 flash inc creepshow 10 302 focus no more! -interviews- welcome to the interviews, this first issue i have a selected bunch of sceners i have decided to torture for these chapters, maybe some world firsts as well! i hope you will find some of them to your liking. i'd also like to interview a few guys from the gaming scene, like matt gray or the cale brothers from system 3. anyway lets start with a famous dude!! -interview with bacchus/fairlight- d=domination b=bacchus d)ok, lets start with the absolute usual question of all time, tell us all about yourself!!! b)my name is pontus. i'm 25. living in a three room flat with my fiancee in the very center of stockholm. i'm still in the university. i'm to produce two major papers to get a "master of law" diploma. i'm currently studying a few other things. this is my first term in stockholm, so i'm still not fully used to the place. i'm also a part time journalist on a computer mag (a real one tha is!). i lead and am the main cracker for fairlight c64, which is a section of fairlight. we also have sections on ibm, amiga and snes. i have about 7 years of cracking experience, so i guess i'm rather good! d=well is domination a real mag??! anyway bacchus tell us about your scene life, when you started etc... b=it all started out in 1985 when i bought my first c64 and a 1541 ("vic20-white" one). the very same machine i use today, even if lots of it's contents are changed! i bought it from the shop "diskett" where i saw some guys hang around. (i much later got to know them as wasp members (now i know them all!), and one of them was "no.1" ,who later grew to be strider/fairlight) i played games and had a good time. i lived through restrictions like "only one hour per day, after homework", a tight phone line shared with the family and so on. the friend from whom i got all the cool kewl games, had a classmate who new how to code machine language, so we formed a group - lct (lunds cracking team) - the three of us. this classmate was the scarlet pimpernel (tsp). i considered him a whiz coder at the time (i now know he wasn't!), but recently i had to help his finishing skychart v, which i guess you have seen. coding seemed too much work, so i decided to become like one of my idols who cracked games. the first idol was lancelot (jimmy blushed when i told him in 1989). my handle was playboy. tsp was the leader, but i brought in new members to get some action. mr.lead (now grayhawk/flt), mr.wedge (now wedge/flt "hall of fame") and ade (who became phred/flt) and i wanted to change the name of cpu (crackers and programmers unlimited). tsp was no leadertype, but didn't let me do it, as this was his group... it was all a mess! i wrote a letter to playboy (the mag) to ask for permission to use playboy as a handle, which naturally was turned down. so i took the name gaston for some weeks until i realized that someone in thundercats had the name (now one of my best friends!). so it became bacchus - the god of wine and fertility. during this time i did 13.5 month military service. upon getting back i started out strong again. to clean out the mess i founded oneway (yes the same oneway that lives today) together with galleon (cruelcrunch), questor (swapper) , razor (swapper, painter - lamer!) and mr.lead. we took ade and mr.wedge with us. only one week later mr.lead got the offer for us to join fairlight. he had been swapping with strider all along, and they needed some fresh blood. originally i think we should be a demo section. gollum was pissing mad, but he soon learned to live with it! again we brought guys from cpu, who now, on order from strider, changed handles. this happened 13/12-88. my first crack for fairlight was "batman - the caped crusader". since then i've been faithful to the group. when strider went 100% for the amiga, i took over the c64 section and this was as soon as in 1989. our peek under my domain was fall 89 when i worked in a computershop. boy, did we release! d=wow!! thats some history!! a lot of old names and groups mentioned there! but now comes the mental bit, the brainstorm!! please tell me what comes to your head upon the mentioning of these names: scene: too much crawling for the americans! real life music: pink floyd! cracking scene: too many lamers claiming skills by showing versions of seuck and onefilers. even worse, they are believed!!! food: all food with meat that i cannot buy as a student! movies: the wall, the unbearable lightness of being, dead poets society (yes, i cried!) and the recent favourite "the snapper" women: i am engaged since 3 years! (gunilla) demos: dutch breeze, the hz demos and the judges demos! sex: straight and often! sexual position: sorry, no good names on them! drugs: narcotics suck major donkey dick. a pint of guinness on the local pub or a splash of whisky to sip on is good enough for me. i have no need to escape from real life. i don't even smoke! hacking scene: k12 (patrik), the only hacker i know! game scene: c64 games suck! i have snes and an amiga to play on! pinball mania! (ed.what about last ninjas and turrican's and the rest!!) ibm: the pc has a huge marketbase enabling production of lots of software. i envy pc users for this, but they have to live with the crappiest piece of hardware ever constructed! amiga: all c64'ers throwing junk on the amiga are doing it, as they know that it steals sceners from us. (ed. and practically the whole rules and idea of our scene!!) it's a jolly good machine and it's good fun using it! had one since 1988! d=what is your views on the new commodore c65? b=haven't heard these rumours in years, and i can just say: too late! i want a c64 card for my amiga instead! after listening to more on the latest conference, i'd say it's nice and that i'd want one, but this is not the future! but who says retrospectivness is wrong? d=yeah with the c65 silence and i carded you and lexi one. plus 5 others, so expect this cool machine maybe already at your house!! anyway if you started a new group who would you have in your group?? b=first of all - fairlight is me and we will be together as long as i have the slightest interest in computing on this level! ok *if*, well tron would be the first one, and then ogami. then i'd want the best supplier around, but they seem to be anonymous. and then i'd like mr.z. that would be sufficient! oh, and someone who could card me an amiga 4000 (ed. yes i put you through and you will get one soon!! no lie!!!) d= ok over the years you must have collected a lot of equipment, please tell us what you own! b=phew. i guess the insurance company wouldn't want me to tell, but ok: 2 x c64 (one of 'em up) 1 x 128d (up) 3 x 1541 (one up) 1 x 1581 (lacks power unit) 1 x oceanic drive 1 x monitor philips 8833(for 128d+a2000) 1 x monitor cbm 1085s(for c64+snes) 1 x 1764 x-mem (512 kb) 1 x amiga 2000 (5mb ram, 170 mb hd) 1 x super nintendo 1 x star lc24-20 printer epromburner, mouses (mice??), joysticks, most carts ever released, loads of books and a trusty parallel loading system (diskdemon). thats most of it, anyway and which i have on my desk! see why i want a c64 as a card in the amiga now?? d=i heard on ibm they have a perfect c64 emulator, ok, what could happen to improve this scene? b=we can only hope that the eastern block sets off to buy c64's in great numbers, as there is no hope of revival in the western europe. i guess that's it. i won't be waiting around for the africans to buy them! d=ok tell us about your handle, why you have it and what does it mean? b=i was desperatly seeking for a new handle as the old one, gaston, was taken. i had a majestic one in mind, and looking in the old mythology (greek and roman) i found the god bacchus that suited me, as it rang "sex" and "boozing". it's odd that i have a gods name as i hate religious fanatics (especially muslims!). d=what do you think about the re-building of a legendary group? b=if one of the countries in old yugoslavia called their "tribe" romans, people would laugh their arses off and the same thing with resurrected groups. dead groups shall be worthied and let to rest in peace. i can see a point in raising your old group again, if there is a majority of old members, or at least a strong old member starting up a group that died when they/he left the scene. what happens today is that name theft is ok if one of the new members lived next door to the guy who biked the swappers mail to the mailbox. by the way, we see some pathetic returns of people who come back 'cos they didn't have what it took on the other machines. boy, they are real loosers! d=have you been in many wars or have many enemies in this scene? tell us. b=a big mouth breeds enemies. i hated the guys in censor for quite some time, but that is looong gone! boy that was fun. they released crap under our name, and i made a censor-intromaker and spread it. was i surprised to see that they actually used it themselves as it was so good? i'd like another juicy war with someone big enough to be a challenge! d=well maybe things might happen!! but tell us what your future plans are. b=i intend to get married on march 5th 1994, and all that goes along with it. i hope to finish university soon now, and get myself a stinking well paid job. i'll get my snes copier, so i'll code a bit on that machine aswell. i guess i'll stick around on the c64 scene as long as the gamers guide is around, as it is only this to give me motivation to go on wasting my time over disgusting excuses for games on the c64. d=check out the game section bacchus and see how your cracks went there!! any greets you wanna give out? b=starting out, greets were a list of people you'd want to know. over the years it has grown into a list of people the swappers get fast replies from. on my 9th year i can say that i made a lot of good friends, where computers were what brought us together, but not what kept the friendship alive. quite a few of them are long gone from the scene like spitfire/action, kaktus/defiers/northstar (the cp demos and noicetracker on amiga). but some remains active like jerry/triad, rowdy/fairlight, harlekin/fairlight, the alchemist/fairlight, gaston, celebrandil/phenomena and a bunch of others. it's so hard to draw the line to those who are friends and to those i know, so i leave it be here. d=cool! any last words for us. b=i said too much for you to handle it already, but i want to add something. i have been on this scene so long, and yet i learn new things about the c64 almost every day. friends leaving for other interests, without being able to keep contact, as the missing link is gone, its close to the death of someone you know. i have grown into understanding how old people see their friends die off, leaving them. it is sad, but this is your future too, remember. so, to all you youngsters out there: seize the day! ed. well i think that is a clear and true word for all! never leave this scene, stay and make friends and have fun!! thanx pontus for this long interview. i hope you enjoy the mag and the amiga and c65!! haha!! incedently i would like to wish pontus a happy marriage after his recent bondage with a young swedish dame! ok, press fire for the menu.. -jazzcat/legend
-interview with jereon tel- back again with a good friend of mine in the domination spotlight this time is jereon tel/maniacs of noise d) please tell the readers some personal information about yourself, such as age, height, dis/likes and any other sexual orientated things of interest.. j) well, i am 22 years old, my height is approximately 1.78m i have long, dark hair and brown eyes. i love (good) music and anything that has to do with that. i also love women a lot (maybe it's just my hormones?) i have an enormous lust for knowledge and wisdom. i like: going on a wild holiday, going out in bars or discotheques, eating at a good restaurant, sports and many, many other things. i hate: injustice, (in the wildest form), polution, wasting time, aids and other disgusting diseases, cheese (strange for a dutch guy to hate cheese, isn't it?) and questions like these! d) ofcourse your renown for your exceptional music abilities, could you give the audience a description of your music-career to the present day, the c64 in particular? j) the first step to enter the c64 was ofcourse buying one, which i did at twelve. the music to the games at that time were mainly directly copied "mozart" -compositions (which i find brilliant, but they just didn't suit most of the games) i learned a bit of programming and wrote a little music-driver in basic, to create my own music. i naturally showed my first tunes to my friends and they liked it. as soon as i discovered soundmonitor i started to compose using that program, plenty of tunes were used in demos like for example "madonna remix". at a computer-meeting i met charles deened (at that time called tmc/scoop designs) who was able to program a music-driver to suit my needs. together we founded maniacs of noise. i composed the music, he created the soundeffects, that was the concept. i made about ten demo-tunes to show at the pcw show in london. i showed it to various companies, who apparently were impressed. electronic arts (usa) seemed to like my music so much, they even offered me to work inhouse for them. unfortunatly i didn't really feel like moving to the usa at the age of fourteen. anyhow, the first music-contracts came in instantly. a year later a lot of titles were released with my music in it. probe software prefered to use exclusively my music for their c64 games and got me over to england for a couple of times. at eighteen i signed a "inhouse-contract" with probe for a period of six months as "computer-audio- programmer". i mainly kept composing c64 games, but i also programmed music for nintendo and sega-machines. the best thing about working in-house is working directly with the producers, programmers and graphic artists. after those six months i decided to move back to the netherlands to work as a freelancer. very regularly i flew back to london to work for probe software on individual games, most of them nintendo and sega though. back in the netherlands i started working for various software companies again, but in the mean time i worked on the music for video productions and later on cd-productions, tv programs, commercials etc. i was asked by nintendo in netherlands to produce a cd with studio-versions of well-known game-titles i composed the music for: lethal weapon iii, robocop iii (remember dutch breeze?), bram stoker's dracula, etc. it's been released as an exclusive item for nnintendo-clubmembers only. at this very moment i'm working on various projects: a soundeffects cd, a library-music cd, which is mainly used for television and radio-broadcasting, but last but not least a cd with "real life" jt-music, if you know what i mean. i do freelance projects next to that, including cd-i and cd-rom, but now and then a c64 project still sneaks in too. d) thats quite a over-whelming workload there jereon, glad i am not in your shoes but i would like the ca$h! anyways over the years you have made quite an impact with your music, what does the future hold with the c64? what's your plans.? j) i will be composing music for the c64 as long as games are published on it, i still like working on this legendary oldtimer, but my mind is set to "real" music. as i mentioned earlier, i'm working on an album with songs inspired by my personal experiences and thoughts. d) from that is there anything that gives you inspiration to do a tune or son or do you put your current emotions into each tune? j) with contracted music for example games or films, i have to make music fit into the whole thing. what i normally do is imagining the situations in my fantasy and compose the music with the inspiration i get from that. when composing/writing a personal song i put my musical ideas, emotions and thoughts of that moment into it. d) apart from music, did you ever try to do something like coding or graphics on the c64? j) yes, i've been working on several projects. concept, coding, graphics and noise were all done by me. i never had the chance to finish any of them, due to music-contracts., which i will be releasing pretty soon. it's a demo compiling a ot of my c64-music from the past to the present. just wait and see.. d) perhaps you will send it to me first as spreading?? :) what do you think of the illegal scene, do yo think it helps or destroy the c64 as a computerformat or maybe doesn't effect it at all? j) i know that a lot of programs gained popularity due to the illegal spreading of it. if software wouldn't be available to all those who don't buy it in the first place, a lot of sales would never take place. most people don't buy what they don't know. an illegal copy sometimes functions as a commercial. computer games are a bit more vulnerable as soon as someone is bored with a game, he's not very likely to buy the original after playing the illegal version. d) interesting views, another "extension" in the c64 career would have to be the commodore 65, the c65 may well have been the best thing for this scene, what's your view on this? j) the c64 has been sold all throughout the world and many people have learned how to program it. an upgraded version like the c65 would put a lot of people back in the saddle. there are enough people who never bothered to learn another computer programming language after leaving the c64-scene behind and could well return to the c64/65 scene as soon as the c65 would be released. d) what do you think of other known musicians of the past and present? j) i think rob hubbard has proved to be a great composer on the c64. i found some of the tracks tim follin did for a couple of games absolutly smashing! martin galway has been a very characteristic fellow by playing around with the "octaves" all the time. from the latest generation i liked the funky stuff johannes bjeregaard produced d) your sounds system must be quite extensive, can you please give us a list of some of the computer-hardware you own and which you prefer? j) i'm working in a studio at the moment in which the akai s3000 plays a very important role. this machine has been extended to a very powerfull (and expensive) piece of equipment by now. for example: i can record "live" guitar -riffs, vocals and drums, but also synthesize my own sounds, put them all together using an internal mixing-display and master the song digitally on a recordable cd or directly to dat. the other equipment is just as important, but boring to mention. d) whats your personal best achievement on the c64 and why? j) i don't like to mention one track now, but i must say i felt great satisfaction after creating the turbo outrun title. i came home on a friday-night with a lot of inspiration (i still wonder why..) and in the morning it was 100% to my satisfaction! my biggest achievement though i find the whole picture or better said: the total collection of my "noise". every track contains a piece of my heart d) well, after this interagation i am quite sure we could all do with some good marijuana, please feel free to say something to the entire scene, anything you want.. j) i'd like to thank you all for the appreciation i've recieved. i hope to please your ears even more in the future jereon told me that the "maniacs of noise - the video game soundmakers" -cd can be ordered from the mon-studios directly, just send a money-order for dfl 40, to: maniacs of noise harmoniestraat 77 5702 jd helmond the netherlands state: "ccd 10493". you may also order the cd by sending cash with a note staing: "i want to order cd-maniacs of noise - the video game soundmakers and enclosed dfl 40, cash" + your name, age, address and signature. either way you'll recieve the cd within three weeks after payment. p+p included. ok, pressing fire for the main menu is a wise decission, hope to have some more well known interviews in this and forth-coming issues of domination. -jazzcat/legend
-interview with nme/ex-illusion- a personal friend of mine and someone i discovered that can upload me files across a partyline via united kingdom to america and down to australia! this ex-illusion members was a damn fine cracker, i present nme/illusion.. d=domination n=nme d=well we will start with the usual question about yourself, and what you do on this computer. n=well, my real name is mathew and i am 24 years old. i have been cracking on the c64 now for 6 years, and have cracked around 300 games. probably the hardest game i've done is myth. other thing i do or have done is coding and supplying originals, also some hacking. d=tell us a little about how you entered this scene, what groups you have been in and other stuff. n=well, the first ever group i joined was slothsoft, this contained a few uk guys, we used to freeze games! other groups i have been in are: twilight zone, fusion, manowar, dominators, deadline and finally illusion. i probably gained a bit of fame in dominators under my former handle which was "jade". i have been in illusion for 2.5 years. the first game i ever trained was a game called psy-droid. as i said before i've done around 300 games, among these around 50 multi-loaders. d=ok, this time we will kick it with the brainstorm part so lets go... + scene- not half as good as before. real life music- everything but country music and rap. wonderstuff. cracking scene- i feel overated, the crackers today load the game then save the memory, then link the intro. a real cracker would be someone who level packs, removes protection and does multi-load games. food- spagetti, strawberrys. movies- alladin, rocky horror picture show, lawn mower man ii women- short, slim. a tanned woman with intelligence. demos- i admire this scene. sex- pass. hacking scene- going down, one time i used to get 10 at and t cards a day. now i haven't had one for 8 months! even the so called card suppliers don't get as many and it has been left up to the europeans to get their own crads. game scene- still a few games, but only one or two real companys left in the united kingdom. ibm- i want one! need it for coding on the super nes (wild card) the amiga isn't powerful or fast enough. amiga- 90% of it is just pretty graphics and crap games. i have about 200 disks on the amiga of games that i would keep. i have owned one for 4 years now. d=ok what are your views on the new c65 and its 18 sid channels etc... n=i have never heard of it! d=if you decided to start your own group and could have anyone from the scene in it who would you have? n=derbyshire ram, because good friend and very active. i'd have someone in the states with a good board. also someone that could supply money! d=so what type of hardware do you own? n=2 c64's dolphin dos action replay v.5 amiga with 20 megabyte hard drive monitor super nintendo and a ibm soon! d=how could we improve the scene more? n=more games. its a challenge to crack some big games, i did it for the challenge. then i got wise and did it for calling cards! d=what handles have you had and why did you change them? n=jade, nme. the only reason i changed my handle was because jade is a german shampoo. d=what do you think of the re-building of legendary groups? n=wrong to use established names. it is better to start new groups as it is always a challenge to start a new one. d=have you had any wars or enemies in this scene? n=i had a bit if bad stuff with antichrist of genesis, he used to spread shit about me. i have never really had any real enemies. d=what is your future plans on this computer and in real life? n=not a lot in this scene, but i will stick around as so many friends and because this scene is a lot better that the amiga. i have just finished a buisness course and i plan to become a programmer on the super nintendo. d=ok if you have any greets to anyone please do so... n=well, derbyshire ram, grego, suzie, rebel/legend, lucifier and pwp/legend. d=well very much thanx for this interview, and final words or how would you have claimed fame? n=my claim to fame would be when i got a christmas card from f.a.s.t. the piracy busting group!! (ed.haha!) peace and cheese... ok matt thanks and enjoy this sending from me, more to come so press fire..
-short stories- well here we are, this next story is an extract from the science fiction novel called the illustrated roger zalazny. i found it quite interesting and have read a few of his novels before. anyway enjoy... shadow jack by roger zalazny i passed through mountain fastnesses, skirting the realm of a certain lord belring, whose reputation i'd no desire to test. it was unfamiliar territory for me, and when i saw the grinning warning below a gargoyle-mounted keep, i decided i had no need to pursue and acquaintance there either. but there was a stirring on the ugly farm above me. for a moment, i simply watched, uncertain whether my eyes were playing me fair... a moment only. i enjoy a grisly spectacle as well as the next man, but i'd no desire to become the object of one. when the things went airborne, i hit for cover, with an eye for the shadows that would shield me. i located a small patch of gray as they swooped toward me and circled above. my images darted within that place - but it was not all that large, and the shadow itself was wavering as their wings beat above me. there were too many of them. enough to strike at each flickering jack and the one substantial one. when the arms i could not avoid came at me, i let go my images and drew the remaining force the shadows had lent me back into myself. i have always preferred stealth to violence. it is indecent to be outweighed , outnumbered and still have to fight. violence, like decease or bad debt, is better to give than receive. i believe that my strength surprised them. unfortunately, their massed bodies totally obliterated the shadow and i was reduced to my own resources. these, too, i spent...but it was not my death that they sought. i dod not know whether to be heartened or totally apprehensive at this. i struggled on, hoping for an opening for flight, for another patch of shadow, to no avail. half-senseless, i was taken, borne aloft, flown through the darkness to that dark height from which the things had come. as we dropped toward it, i could see that it was old, and i could taste the flavours of the delicate sorceries brewed within it. when i was hauled into the presence of the chef. i had to admit that it was an improvement over the gnarled wizards i occasionally encountered... "so you are shadowjack," she said. "i know your reputation. i apologize for the means by which i sought your acquaintance...i have to admit i find your appearance more pleasing than i had anticipated. i am vara lylyra," she said, bidding her stony sentinels return to their niches. "this is my place of power. i detected your approach but recently, and had to move quickly. i will show you about - there are matters i wish to discuss". the tour eventaully took us to her bedchamber, and i wondered as to priorities - discussion first, or -? "i require the services of the very finest thief available," she said, "to steal the eye of iskat." "oh?" i said, as she moved nearer, flame and sword-metal masked by perfume and softness. "what is the eye of iskat?" "it is a gem of wondrous potency," she replied. "it enhances one's natural powers enormously. it is currently in the possesion of lord belring of the corners. he keeps it in his court of the hundred towers. do you know it?" "i have heard of it," i replied. "each tower is said to contain a bell which begins ringing if someone sets a foot within it. an effective system." "yes, that is the place," she said, moving even nearer. "i would like you to go there and fetch it for me." "i have also heard something about a guardian in that place..." "true," she said, embracing me lightly. "the old sorceror has created some sort of brittle beast-man called the vorkle. it tends to be somewhat transparent and difficult to see. but you, ofcourse, are now forewarned..." "the jewel is hidden in one of the towers?" "i believe so, though i cannot tell which. that is the task i would set you, jack. have you an interest in it?" i looked into her eyes. "i have an interest" i said. "jack, darling - you will be going on my errand then?" she whispered, when i thought her mind might be on other matters. "i will be going," i said. later when i was certain she was asleep, i set about doing just that - going. i gathered my garments and departed the chamber. from my quick tour of the place, i recalled a window situated opposite a crag, beyond which i might make my escape. i was not anxious to mess with transparent beings in dark places, overseen by a sorceror with a reputation of madness. no... i made my way to that place, and from the lining of my cloak i withdrew the fine, stout line which had served me so well in the past. from a sheath in my boot came the collapsable grapple which i snapped open and tied into place. it was time to bid the keep of lylyra good-bye. despite the manner of my arrival, my brief stay was hardly unpleasant. if the lady had only wanted something simpler. i could have been pursuaded to remain longer... my cast went true, falling into a tight cleft. the grapple seated itself securely when i drew back upon the line. then it was only a matter of securing my end to the bollard-like projection which had caught my eye earlier. the rest was straight from thieves college, where i had once taught entry and egress 701... as i mounted the line regarded the wavering prospect, i was struck by the fact that it was a lot dimmer than it had been moments before. mists had risen among the rocks. no matter. i could still see the line. i could trust my balance... but as i advanced, the mist continued to rise until it boiled about me. i wondered at the unnatural speed with which this occurred. something was definitely amiss in the area through which i moved. there was a break in the mists ahead - somehow, i had been turned about! the road led to wings and a nasty expression! vara shook her head and regarded me almost wistfully. "this, thief, is how you keep your word? i am disappointed. pity. i would rather you served me willingly. guards! show him to a cell!" as i was introduced to my new lodgings, vara regarded them with disapproval. "it is said that you have a way with shadows," she stated. "something must be done to prevent your employing them here." she raised her hands. as she spoke, her form began to glow. waves of light swapt over her, collecting finally about her hands. i was half-blinded by the brilliance of her working, and i sought to shield my eyes from the light. blazing bands took form about me, removing any possibility of my making contact with shadow. "is mine not a lovely light?" she said smiling. "these are fetters you cannot slip. i will leave you now to contemplate your ways. adieu." whenever i am spoken of in shadow. i know what is said...in the shadowy confines of her chamber. vara regarded me in her crystal and muttered her displeasure at the faithlessness of men. then her eyes grew bright. "a doppelganger!" she said, clapping her hands. "i will send his double - with all his skills and none of his mischief!" then she began a fresh spell, and i felt a pang in my breast as she did so. this was dangerous magic indeed - for the duplicated. the longer a doppelganger exists, the weaker his princople becomes, until finally...it would be identical to me in physical respects, though lacking those charming intangibles which make me what i am. i worried within my fetters of light. i could begin to fade as it exerted itself , lapsing finally into total nothingness... as she charged it with the errand i had declined, i realized that i would have to escape soon. i would have to escape, pursue it and be merged with it. as it tore off through the night heading for the court of the hundred towers, i hit upon a dangerous course of action. i struggled to recall the spell vara had used to bind me...it came back to me then, and i rehearsed it in my mind. i know of no way to diminish the light-bands. but i might be able to overload the spell by reinvoking it. i began to speak and the brightness increased about me. vara would soon become aware of my tampering with her working, but it might not matter by then. vara had to know what was occurring. by the time they reached me, it was too late. the rings had wavered and broken and the cell was filled with pure light. if the final flare did not hurt me, it would certainly slow them down. i heard them enter, cry out and fall aside as the spell was shattered and i found myself still standing. weak, though i was very weak as i rushed from that place and made my way out of the castle. the gargoyles sought me, but i had already reached a well-shadowed vicinity. none could find me there against my will. when they finally gave up, i continued on my way toward the corners - a place where several kingdoms abut - near where lord belring holds his court. monolithic, i regarded the heaped campaniles of the court, the great bells visible in many of them. a few had begun ringing, indicating that my double had commenced his search. somewhere within that place was the other jack, and i had to find him before the vorkle did - find him, while avoiding the vorkle myself - and figure a way to achieve our merger. i made my way into the court. i scanned the skyline in that direction and caught a glimpse of a figure strangely like myself leaping from one tower to another. i began the pursuit. by now, the ringing of the bells was a palpable thing. each new voice increased the din to the point where my ears began to throb. the matter would have to be concluded soon - i was aching. i followed him. he was faster now, my weakness a sign of his strength. if only i could reach him, speak with him. but he could not hear me, even if i were to risk a shout. another bell joined the chorus as i drew nearer. my eardrums seemed to be bursting. i threw myself down and tried to block out the sound of the latest bell. my double had escaped. i saw a movement. an almost-thing. a blurry patch of something at the window...it had to be te vorkle. approaching, stong and silent and lethal i had to regain my footing, flee. i struggled to rise, staring at the approaching creature, i summoned my remaining strength and drew myself to my feet. it moved more quickly than i had thought it would. one moment it was on the other side of the room, the next it was almost upon me, glassy arms outstretched, fingers flexing, translucent muscles bulging with each movement. i swirled my cloak as i cast about for the readiest retreat. my eyes fell upon the stairway leading to the bell tower. i whirled and raced in that direction, feeling rather than hearing my pursuer, close behind. when i cam to the room where the great bell was hung i sighed, for there shadows, and more shadows. i drew the shadows about me like an extra cloak and released them again. they spread about the room, image after image of myself, each fleeing, dancing, darting in a different direction. for a moment the vorkle stood like a ice sculpture, baffled at the display. but then he moved, turning - first one way, then another - flailing his arms, reaching out, grasping after, seeking to destroy one of my images after another. the huge bell swung to and fro, its peals deafening me to any noise the creature might be making. i moved my images faster and faster, twisting, spinning, tumbling before him, about him. he turned and turned, seeming to grow more bewildered with each pass. between the pealing and this action, however, i felt my strength begin to wane once again. was i - the real me - becoming as transparent as this creature i faced? his confusion increased as i moved my shadow-puppets with the last of my strength, but the bell! for a moment i grew dizzy from the strain. i must have stood revealed for only an instant, but in that moment the vorkle saw me and turned. he turned and took a step. i would like to take credit for the planning of it, but it was pure chance that bore the confused creature to that position at that moment. the bell had seung to, but it was the fro that got him. with a sound like the crashing of a wine rack the bell tolled for him indeed. as i regarded the creature's remains, the skin on my neck crawled, as though i, myself, might at that moment be an object of scrutiny...and why not? my double was somewhere near. if belring had seen the destruction of his guardian, he would doubtless be heading to brew some new mischief. i had a picture of him as he had been described to me - stocky and strong. if just a few minutes of his music had affected my mind so, i wondered what they might have done to his over the years. within a mirror he conjured up a duplicate, his warped sense of humour doubtless drawing delight from my difficulties. no true doppelganger this lethal image, however. the new double was formed of elements which would prove instantly fatal to me were i to merge with it. as he summoned it forth from the mirror, my thinning blood ran even colder. how could i possibly distinguish it from the other? somewhere in shadow, i heard him speak my name again as he sent it forth to work my confusion. the thing was on its way, to complete the work the vorkle had started. had he only known how weak i had actually become, he might have saved his efforts. yet i struggled on, down mazes of corridoors - seeking. my only hope now seemed to be to locate the eyes of iskat. i might be able to employ it on my own behalf. i came at last to a huge room filled with bells and chimes of every sort. there, i was forced to rest for a moment. they were all ringing - no - something strange... no good. i'd a strong feeling it was in this room , and that i was missing something obvious. i would listen again, at each seperate bell. it seemed the only thing left to try... as i regarded them, i wondered how near my doppelganger might be. i wondered, too, where the other double was. then,then,then...it struck me. a tiny bell near at hand was swinging but not ringing. could its clapper have been set so as not to strike the shell? ofcourse - and the reason for that would be to protect something precious against fracture. i seized it and drew upon the clapper...success!! ...and as i turned, feeling victory glowing in my hand, i beheld both of them - my two doubles: the first wanting the jewel, the other my life. both advanced upon me in a menacing fashion. both raised their hands and became like magnets, drawing upon the energies that held me together. i had been a fool even to wonder whether i might reason with my own. there could be no truce here... but i was too weak to resist. their combined forced left me barely able to move. not even the jewel could help me now. i fell to the floor and the stone rolled from my hand. there was one thing left that i could trust. the jewel occupied the same patch of shadow into which i had let my arms fall. this much i had gauged correctly. a moment later, and the boot of one of my double came down beside it. therefore the one wanted my life, the other the stone. now i knew which was which, as he reached for it, there in the same piece of shadow i occupied. he was about to be enlightened or should i say enshadowed? my hands were not where they had seemed. one took his ankle as the other recovered the jewel. then drawing upon the shadow force, i summoned back that part of myself which had gone into the making of the doppelganger. it vanished as the energies returned to me. my strength recovered, i rose then to confront the double belring had cast. the jewel pulsed in my hand as the shadow forces swirled within me. the double drew back as if it had been burned. it turned then and headed for the stair. it was harmless to me now, and it reminded me too much of someone i knew for me to pursue it. i watched it flee. somewhere, lord belring would soon be aware that i had his jewel and had avoided his final trap. it was not difficult to guess at his reaction, which is why i hurried. i made for a section of wall at the edge of the court where a long streak of shadow permitted a drop i could not have made otherwise. it was so good to be substantial again, i decided as my feet hit the ground. darkness and silence floated outside the keep of lylyra. the heavy shadows were my friends. even within, they helped me. i slid like a ghost past the guards. then i headed up to the lady's chamber for a final call. are you watching, morning star? not even the dust stirs about me. i made a small noise as i entered the chamber, intentionally. she was awake in an instant. "jack? there in the shadows? it could only be you." "you have returned, as i knew you would. come to me, for i have missed you." "it is good that you are back, i intend for you to remain here." "yes, hold me, dear jack. i will see that you remember this moment for as long as you live..." "hello, vara," i said, emerging from the shadow as my image faded. "phantom!" she responded. i watched the shadow image fall. she rose quickly. it was time for me to move. "i brought the eye of iskat, as you requested,my dear." "you see, i want you to remember this moment as long as you live." "dwindle, compress, darken." "as hard and as black as your heart, my dear, though you'll still give a lovely light" i am certain vara would have appreciated the finesse with which i managed that final encounter - were she able to view it dispassionately, that is. had she possessed a somewhat different temperament, i am certain that i could have enjoyed her company for a long while. but then, of course, such a woman would not be vara and i could conceivably find myself wishing for someone like the original. it was probably better for both of us that the only change the jewel could effect was a matter of form. -jack, you're getting sentimental. life, after all, is a place where we steal for pleasure and profit, each in our own way, and we, of course, are but shadows who have stolen a little of light...vara would be back. i was rather sure of it. -the end- well, what a great, cool story!! i just love that type of style!! if you have any cool stories for this mag then just send them to the editorial address. please also include the book you extracted it from and author, or just make your own and i'll see if its cool to be published. send it on paper please. anyway we are finished here, before you press fire remember... with violence i find that its better to give that receive... death decides the cure.
-the mixed stuff- here we go with some neat stuff about some of the most finest pleasures in life, when you think about it deeply, sex in a way is an actual drug, a healthy drug and certainly not illegal. in this chapter i will try and describe some interesing sexual and illegal drug information, so you can get other views on what these things are all about, read and imagine... a depraved gang of upper-crust english homosexuals indulged in the worst forms of sado-masochistic torture shocked police investigators have ever encounted spectators ran ashenfaced from london's old bailey as details of gross genital abuse, including sandpapered testicles, a finger inserted down a man's penis hole and sex with a donkey and great dane, were revealed during a seven-day trial. even the judge looked sick when police showed a video of a man's penis and scrotum being slit open with a scapel. the 15 men in the dock ran a national network of elaboratly-equipped dungeons in the basements of elegant country houses where they acted out there vilest sexual fantasies. most were highly respected professional men including a senior lawyer, a missle design engineer, teachers, and even a lay preacher. one revolting home video showed retired pig breeder donald anderson, having sex with his great dane and a donkey. he buggered and masturbated the frightened animals before encouraging to mount him in return. he later told cops it was normal for a man to have sex with his pet dog. "it's perfectly natural to masturbate a dog so that they don't go looking for a bitch," he said. the judge jailed anderson for 12 months. lay preacher and restraunt owner saxon lucas, 58, confessed to what the judge called by far the worst of the assaults. a home video called "cock shock" showed lucas performing an operation with a scapel on a man who was naked, gagged and blindfolded. his victim was john aktinson, 50, an antiques restorer. the video showed lucas making several incisions in aktinson's penis which was nailed to a kitchen table, along with his testicles. prosecutor michael worsley said: "aktinson was in bondage. lucas had a surgical scapel and was cutting aktinson's penis and sctotum. blood flowed freely." when judge rant saw the video he went white in the face and asked for an adjournment. he later said: "i am not likely to forget that one. no-one would" lucas got four and a half years. when the police raided the gang's torture chambers they found restraining straps, a flogging bench complete with a rack for stretching people, a whipping post, chains and pulleys for suspending gang members from the ceiling, uniforms, whips, a devil mask, an expandable dildo, canes, studded collars, stocks and spiked gloves. prosecutor worsley said middle-aged men comprised the porn ring's inner circle. "but youths, one as young as 15, were corrupted after being brought in to act as slaves", he said. "one torture session lasted an exausting seven or eight hours. on another occasion 30 people were present at a homosexual orgy. sometimes participants dressed in german uniforms to re-encat imagined scenes of nazi atrocities." "at other times they acted out fantasies of schoolboy punishment." the court was told by particpants acting as slaves consented to having their private parts tortured and their buttocks cut or branded. slaves were sometimes stretched on racks or struck with spiked gloves. one man had his pubic hair set alight with a candle and melted wax dripped over his genetals. the demented gang frequently indulged in drugs like laughing gas and lsd. one incident caught on video showed a finger being forced down a man's penis passage while he was held down. another showed the flaying of penis and testicles with a metal spiked carpet gripper. the court was told missle designer roland jaggard, 42, was involved in the sandpapering of testicles and loved the sight of blood. at another sex session a victim was beaten by jaggard with a cane and studded belt until his buttocks were like "raw steaks". jaggard was said to have masturbated while beating his victim. he was also filmed pushing a metal coat hanger down his own penis and pinning his own penis to a block of wood with a knife. he was jailed for 3 years. also sentenced was london tattooist anthony oversby, 56, a specialist in "penis piercing", who got a suspended 15 months for wounding and administering anesthetic while unqualified. the court heard oversby set up his premises like a doctor's surgery and formed a master/slave relationship with one of his clients - who had asked for help to be castrated. others convicted were fire station officer john lofthouse, 50, who carved his initials on another gang member, lawyer christopher zimmerli, 52, who admitted involvement in genital torture. a popular torture chamber was run by ian wilkinson, a forester, and peter grindely, a care worker with the mentally handicapped, in a swish country home. they admitted to keeping a disorderly house, possesing cannabis and lsd, commiting genital torture and publishing an indecent photo of a child. sickos' sordid catologue: 1. a man was hung from a scaffhold and his penis and testicles nailed to a table. 2. a finger was pushed down one man's penis and an electric wire down anothers. 3. one man had his penis and testicles flayed with a metal spike. 4. a favorite party piece for another was to shove his fist into a gay partners anus. 5. one penetrated a great dane and a donkey, then encouraged the animals to mount him. 6. another enjoyed having his testicles sandpapered until his scrotum was rubbed raw. 7. a candle flame was held to one man's penis and wax dripped over his genitals. 8. one pervert enjoyed having his testicles clamped in a vice for hours at a time. 9. a video showed a gang member having a hook of a coat hanger pulled through his penis. ed. well that's a quite bizarre story, i am quite certain these type of rituals and torturing happens all over the world and this is just one incident where the subject has been made public. we will pass into a slower speed now with the classic case of remedys for those great hang-overs of alcohol abuse! here is 12 selected remedies from all around the world, try them at your own risk and remember no matter how sickening some may seem they have worked wonders!! 1. foaming brekky many serious drinkers, particularly in australia and germany, believe implicitly that the best morning-after cure is a few glasses of beer for breakfast. for speedier relief and depending on the state of your stomach lining, add a angostura bitters to the beer. others say flat beer is even better, so open a can or two before going to bed. 2. pommy hot dog juice of two lemons 1 teaspoon mustard with the lemon juice and drink in one hit. 3. bushman's corny cure an old australian bush tucker recipe: mix cornflower with buttermilk in a pot, then heat until almost boiling point. season with salt and pepper to taste. 4. suffering bastard: attributed to a barmen at cairo's old shepheard hotel, this consists of: brandy lime juice gin take one third of each. add dash of bitters. mix with ginger ale. sip slowly 5. dairy delight: 1 nip of vodka 2 nips of tomato juice 1 slug of worcestershire sauce 2 alka-seltzers 1 good squirt of cow's milk mix together, allowing the milk from the udder to foam up in the glass, or if from the bottle stir rapidly to get the same effect, drink slowly. 6. foaming blood: half fill a beer glass with tomato juice, top up with beer. also called ruptured rooster. 7. prairie oyster: drop a raw egg in a tumbler, season with salt and vinegar, worcestershire or hot sauce. then swallow with out breaking the yolk. 8. virgin mary: mix one can of tomato juice with half a cup of lemon juice, salt pepper and a celery stick. 9. toasted red indian: burnt toast soaked in milk, then eaten with a spoon like porridge, is said to work wonders on a severe hangover, particularly one caused by red wine. 10. egg burp: pour half a bottle of beer into a glass. mix in one raw egg, stir until the foam subsides. 11. sugar'n'spice: sugary soft drink with plenty of fizz for breakfast is regarded as an excellent hangover cure by many sufferers. to turn into true "hair-of-the-dog", add rum or brandy. 12. jamaican eyeball plucker: 1 nip overproof rum 1 teaspoon cream 1 teaspoon honey shake well with ice. strain into the glass. of course, prevention is usually better than cure, so if you really don't want a hangover try eating large amount of foods before hand. get high on cow shit!! dingbat druggies have discovered the world's latest high - and it's free and legal. but it's stinks to high heaven, and you're in the shit. the secret's out: methane gas from steaming cowpats will get you as shitfaced as top thai buddha or a snort of best bolivian marching powder. but pharmacists warn that sniffing methane is highly dangerous - and can kill! "i've heard of people doing some stupid things to get high," said a police expert, "but this latest buisness really takes the cake. these idiots actually sneak into pastures and follow some cow aroud until she takes a big dump. then they rush over and slap a bowl over the steaming stuff to trap all the odours and gases. next, they stick straws through holes in the bottom of the bowl and sniff away until the methane gas has them even kookier than they were before! it's so nutty i'd never have beleived it if i hadn't seen it with my own eyes." the craze began in malaysia during a goverment clampdown on drugs, when addicts were looking for ways of getting high. somehow, someone stumbled upon cowpats. and fell headlong. speaking at a drugs conference, deputy home minister megat junid ayob described the local method: "they wait for the fresh dung and quickly put a coconut shell over it - and then sniff the gas through the hole in the shell. we've had such a shortage of heroin and coke and other drugs over here that addicts were desperate for something, anything to, to scramble their brains. some of our dung users are so far gone nobody was surprised when they started smelling dung. but we never dreamed people in rich countries like england and the us would start following cows too." german manure maniac wendell wegener, 19, swears by the smelly stuff. "i've done marijuana, i've done coke, i've done it all, but this stuff really gets you flying. it does sound kind of icky when you first think about it, but you don't stick your nose down in the stuff - you just inhale the gases." "ok, the smell isn't the best, and sometimes an old farmer will come out with a shotgun and threaten to blow your butt off for trespassing. but the high, man - you just can't beat it." a long-time australian user of cannabis sativa, marijuana, says the powerful cowpat potion, if effective, could also change the face of the australian enviroment. "sure," he said, "if it's as effective as dope - and free - it will be unbelievably popular. i'm already thinking of a way it could be used in something like a asthma puffer - so you could carry it around anywhere. but i wouldn't use it in a restaurant." another habital drug user questioned wasn't so sure. "the whole idea's ecologically sound," he reasoned. "scientists say methane gas from farm animals is helping destroy the ozone layer. but if that's true, imagine what it does to your brain!" photographs are supplied with this article of young teenagers sniffing the shit up their noses!! wow! talk about poor mans hash!!! now lastly to fill this chapter i have a story sent in by the graphician blackadder/lithium, entitled.. jail break the dungeon guard took a long, deep drag on his smoking weed, and offered it too his partner. the smell of the tabacco was equivilent to that of a rotting corpse dumped in a cesspool. the guards never saw the cloaked figure approach them, their smoking trip having numbered their senses. "excuse me, gentlemen" the cloaked figure spoke. the guards clumisly went to unsheath their swords, but were cut short in mid-action as the cloaked figure swept his cloak to one side and produced a cross-bow. arrows struck the guards, they fell to the dirt, silent. a smile spread across the figures face, though no-one would of have seen it as the hood he wore shadowed his head completly. the cloaked figure found it easy to penetrate the dungeons security, what there was of it. guards littered the floors, bottles of spirits lay empty, evidence of the guards drunken states. the figure's foot connected with an empty bottle, the sound echoed throughout the dungeon. the figure cursed under his breath, but no-one stirred. the dark figure searched the dungeon cells, most were empty. the figure collapsed against the bars of once cell in despair, it was then when he placed his hand in some sticky, warm fluid. the figure looked at his hand in disgust, "must be pretty lonely down here," he murmered to himself. "indeed it is," replied a hushed voice from the cell behind him. the figure whirled around and found himself starring at a wrinkle old man. the figure wiped his hands quickly over his cloak, as if would take away the disgust he felt, away faster. the old man continued to talk a cocktail of garbage as the figure watched the old man probe his nostril with his grubby forefinger. the figure, though disgusted, was compelled to watch this ritual of nose picking. the old man continued to speak, though to figure it was a babble of back ground noise, he found the way the old mans eyes moved with every probe of the finger especially. "hey son, your not listening to me," whined the man. "course i'm not listening to you, fool." "hey, well why not?" "course your a senile old phart, and i have no respect for anyone who picks their nose in public." "um...well yes, i apologize a bad habit i have, ever since a cockroach made its home in there i've never been able to stop myself from checking wheather or not if i've over fed him." the figure shunted backwards in disgust, he could in disgust, he could feel his stomach churn. the figure coughed, a chunky, fluidy, cough. "oh, goody," cried the man playfully, realizing that his disgusting habits had nausiated the rougue, "save some for me, i'm hungry!" and with that, the figure bent over clutching the rusted cell bars, unleashing his digested three cause meal all over the cell walls. "uh, what a waste of good vomit, why didn't you give it to ,e instead of the wall, what is it? aren't i worth feeding? bastard," respondered the man, drool dribbling down his chin. the figure wiped his mouth with his sleeve and replied in fierce tones. "shut up!" "tell me to shut up! next you'll be calling me a disgusting old phart!, the old man retorted. "look, i came here to rescue a friend." "what! you have come to save us!!!", boomed the senile phart. all of a sudden the dungeon awoke, occupants in cells stirred, the aroma of hope filled the air. (if you can call the smell of puke that!) the dungeon was alive, prisoners reached out of the cells waving their gribbly arms, hoping for the touch of freedom. "shit! senile phart, look what you've done!", snarled the rescuer. the figure was going to continue his abuse but found it hard as the man who was caged in the cell disappeared. the figure stared blankly in amazements at the empty cell. maybe it was his lucky day and the senile bastard had spontaneaesly imploded, but just as he was going to thank the mightly gods he felt a tap on his back, "lookin' for me?," came the grating voice, realising that the old fool had appeared behind him he turned and faced the man. in the light he could see that the man was totally naked, years of malnutrition had turned his body into a grotesque jumble of gristle, sharing the likeness of a narled tree branch. "great, a blood wizard!" "ha! you came to rescue me, see, and now i'm free!" "no! in ever freed you, you did it yourself, you could of escaped anytime." "ah! yes, but that defeats the whole purpose of being rescued, doesn't it?" to the figure, the senile old wizard had a logic likened to a drunk dung beatle. the wizard continued his illogical talk "see it i had escaped before you had arrived then you wouldn't be able to save me now, right? "look! i haven't come to save you, its my friend i'm after!", screamed the figure in full rage. murmers came from guards, who were awaking from their drunken slums. "quick help me find my friend," the figures voice had an urgent ring to it. "no! you don't want to save your friend, its me you want to save," answered the wizard giving a tap on his nose and a knawingly wink. "no!", "yes!", "no!", yes, you do!", "no! i don't", "yes!". "alright!", the figure was desperate and running out of time. he placed his hand on the wizards forehead "you're saved, now help me or piss off!" "thank-you! now let me help you!", replied the wizard. there was a blinding flash and the smell of burning flesh over powered the aroma of hope. the figure peered in each cell, the occpants were all gone and all that remained were piles of ash. "no!", screamed the figure. the figure drew his sword and held it at the wizard's throat. "now, now temper my friend, i have helped you by killing all the prisoners so you don't have to save them, i hope your'e grateful, and don't ask me to do anything else for you," stated the wizard triumphantly. the figure was in no mood to answer, in all the emotion they had been surrounded by the now awokened dungeon guards. "uhh...shit!", the figure yelled. a massive onslaught broke out, disenmembered guards flew left and right around the dungeon. "hey you silly old bastard, help!", called the figure amidsts the sword clang. "no! i've done enough for you already, your supposed to be saving me remember?". the figure continued fighting until all his oppenents fell dead at his feet. "i used to be pretty good with a sword, though magic arts was really my call." "shut up!", the figures voice resonated throughout the dungeon cells. the figure clentched his sword hilt hard and in one swoop decapated the senile wizard. "when i say shut up, i bloody well mean it!!" the events of the rescue had depressed the figure, he pulled himself out of the dungeon and found the two guards he'd originally slayed. he bent down and much to his relief found that the weed that the guards had been smoking was still alight. he took the weed and placed it to his lips...he sure need it!! end this chapter has splashed itself into its own memory limit so press fire for the menu, thanks nathan for the story!!

-reviews and examinations- ..this is something i am not quite used to as i belief in reviews made by the people who act in that certain field themself, but as a common witness i will try me best to give an accurate account of some of the newer scene stuff, i was actually hoping to pick up some of the new assembly '94 software but unfortunatly i haven't got it via mail or modem as yet except for two gfx pics that were quite brilliant (electric of extend and mike of panic) the spotlighted: best of arne/afl -:music collection skyhigh #12/oxyron -:magazine newcomer prv/(c) -:game visual obsession/sd -:dentro (demo) pulse august/regina -:magazine .kick it back. ........................................ best of arne by afl, size:230blks approx ........................................ credits:- intro coding by skidrow/afl intro gfx by ramirez and murphy/afl all music by arne/afl loader system by murphy/afl in this collection is a main menu select with an option of loading and listening to twenty tunes by arne. the music is basically average and above average quality and for some reason i forsee the musician as being a good software composer. the themes of each tune are generally that of a happy of powerful moody, he uses the bass quite a bit and as some scaling melodies that are quite enjoyable, but again there is that sense of 'game' styled music. overall its a nice little collection and its worth a look, rating:- 82/100 ........................................ skyhigh #12/oxyron size: 600blks approx ........................................ credits:- music exclusive by echo/comic pirates parson/equinoxe fanta/x-live/flush binary exaustion by raz/camelot graphics by biz kid/oxyron additional work:- code by mad/padua music by mad/padua graphics by electric/extend comments:- pressing space out of the cute but average intro the mag rolls into a window type format, each chapter can be chosen from sub windows in the chapter: words - editorial, biz mix, rrr about - interviews with cubehead/chaos and steve/scs+trc regulars - oxyron (internal news) scene - news, charts, birthdates, boards addys - five address chapters in a-z c,diz - spread, reaction, thanx, parties extras - interlace pic+music by electric the music may be chosen on a seperate panel of three exclusive tunes and another systems panel allows you to turn the music and flashing text on and off. about the text itself, well skyhigh's main-editor, biz kid and co-ed rrr type some decent, friendly and sociable text. on the whole the mag has a lot of support from the entire scene and comes out on a regular basis of 1-2 mths. incidently they are searching for a new co-editor so if you think you are qualified send to the main-editor. overall the mag is well presented, this issue i give it 84/100 ........................................ newcomer preview/chromance size:1200blks ........................................ after the chromance intro, comes a small bi-menu which allows you to select either the start or game sequence, which are both unplayable. in the start sequence it depicts the story of a young man who commited a grevious crime and was captured and 'teleported' to a prison-island fo his crimes, upon getting there he meets up with the other 'in-mates' and learns his predicimate and the quest begins, this nice sequence takes up a whole side of a disk, but is well worth it with nice music, and brilliant storyline, animations and graphics. the game sequence is an automated depiction of the actual game, which is very similar to wolfenstein or doom on the ibm pc. again brilliant gfx, animation and a greay array of options menus and sheer curiosity, make this game a simple must. the only slight draw back on this action/adventure is that the full game will take up 12 sides of disks, equalling the largest c64 game ever, grab it when you can and enjoy it as its worth the wait. 96/100 ........................................ visual obsession/sun designs size:112blk ........................................ credits:- music by pri/tia/oxyron, red devil/flt and syndrom/tia/crest code by spy/sun designs graphics by latifah/sun designs and spy comments:- a great little dentro which starts off with a heavy beat from pri which give the name and crew behind it, this fades off into some weird fast effects, among the are vertical raster bars, real-time bobs, and many more clapsing with a techno tune from red devil, eventually a starfield comes up showing the greeted ones and this fades off into a noter, which gives the credits and dentro info with a nice quadro tune by syndrom. these amiga orientated dentros are becoming more and more popular on the c64, particularly with the eastern european countries, lets hope judging from the quality in this dentro that more will continue to start a trend, i give it 81/100 ........................................ the pulse august/regina size:600 blks ........................................ this popular mag as provided once again with a spectacular issue. credits:- intro code by dr zivago/regina intro music by drax/vibrants intro graphics by mercury/regina outfit code work by dr zivago/regina outfit graphical grafitti by kring/cml soundtrack by drax/vibrants loading system by iceball/motiv8 main-editor, duke/reginal co-editor, crossfire/motiv8 comments:- firstly it must be said that this mag as a overall scene outlook on its feel. people from groups such as m8,chromance, vibrants, talent, camelot and even me from legend do articles and am a member of the pulse staff, which because of its many walks of life as many different opinions and views which make the magazine the ever more interesting. the outfit itself as a irq loader with a vertical panel selection of the chapter which may be chosen from the following: preface -editorial/introduction news journal -news/facts summer releases -1st release charts satirica -satiric stories/views global report -scene report board report -news/reports profile -interview/portrait overall charts -voted charts/comments world of demos -demo+graphic reviews special assignment 1+2 -debate/info the blackboard -advertisments meet the press -reactions/comments the mag has two boards on its support, being the chromance whq, the evil island which serves as its whq and the motiv8 board, dominic, which serves as it's european headquarters. apart from the original and well written up-to-date text, it has the originality of its very good satirica chapter which other magazines have tried to immitate with out success. overall a great read and well worth the time, 90/100 ........................................ as the hunter gets hunted i guess the reviewer will get reviewed, if you wish your groups productions targetted for the domination touch leave your submissions in my mail box. -active with style
-hack and phreak- ok here is the numbers, numbers and more numbers chapter. lately i have found that not many mags have a chapter devoted to the h/p scene so if anyone has any contributions youre quite welcome to give your ideas to this chapter. also if you need your vmb codeline or board numbers spread just post it on the votesheet or at my addy at the end of this chapter. bits and bytes ........................................ well most things people are after these days is either a good country for blue boxing or some calling cards. for those of you who are new to calling cards i will explain a little. i have used 5 different american cards from australia, but there is 3 main ones. lets have a look at these five in order of popularity: at+t 1800881011 automated or operator mci 1800881100 automated or operator sprint 1800881877 automated or operator gte 1800881877 operator assisted allnet 0014800125197 operator at+t is the most used and largest of all phone companys, infact its the 5th largest company in the world. now to go about getting the cards there is several ways which i will not go into detail, they are these: 1# social engineering this is acting as an operator and getting the cards by spinning some bullshit. several ways to do this. 2# personal choice ringing up the operator with certain info on a person and act is this person and order a card. 3# system hacked really nice cards these, they generally last longer. these are obtained via accessing systems such as cosmos, system 85, or rci. people sell cards a lot, if interested in buying them how about get either in contact with westbam/legend or scat/trsi, scat can be reached through his voice mail in usa on 713/917-3001 just leave your phone number there and he will get back to you. you may give me messages to pass onto westbam. a little article i extracted from pirates magazine (thanks rainier!) all about the new voice prints that will be used. since 1st of january 1994 a new law has been approved by the senate to allow voice prints (vop) as evidence in us court. at+t is negotiating with some foreign countries too about the discussion of the reliability of voice prints as evidence. voice prints (v o p) could be the best thing at+t has against calling card abuse as of yet. the system only works with operator assistance. it sores the persons voice (analog) data onto a digital tape or data system. these tapes can be used to find further card abuse by the same person and could be used in court since they are classified as unique. each person has his own typical voice print and new techniques have put this 'evidence' in the same class as fingerprints. cmr will automatically match all calling cards in operation continuously and when two matching calling cards are found found to be in operation at the same time, an at+t operator will be notified. the computer will automatically try to locate the calling card users (working on the presumption that only one calling card is usually being used at atime), and detect the kind of conversation. the computer will not tape any voice conversations, it will merely register the kind of conversation, being it voice, data or other. this information will be stored in a record and the original owner of the calling card will be contacted and asked if permission has been given, if that is not the case at+t will take legal actions toward the abusers. this is where vop will help to get us a conviction of the abuser(s) being it national 'united states and canada) or foreign (sweden, scandinavia, norway, finland, germany, belgium, the netherlands and australia which together amount for about 90% of the calling card abuse and are all willing to test vop and if found reliable they will consider it to be used in court. our at+t direct lines will replace, if present, the computer touch tone systems for an operator based system to be able to get vop from the abusers. (ed. operator assisted phone sex?) and if every country in question has accepted vop to be used in evidence in court a confiction based on that particular countrys law will follow. at+t is very annoyed (pissed infact) about the continuing growth off card abuse in conjuction with long distant calls, there for the countries mentioned above will get a high priority since these illegaly made costs are considerally higher as local phone calls. cmr is planned to be introduced in february 1994. vop is as of this moment installed in all countrys which had a computer system and which were switched to a operator based system. ed. no worrys here in australia or most of the other parts of the world for that matter, also for those worried about the at+t operator having your number on the screen when you dial in this is just false, they only have the country and not the phone number. before i completly change the subject to something else, i recently learned how to get international pbx numbers in america. all that needs to be done is you have to ring up at+t, and ask for the supervisor's name and then ask to be connected with her. once you have the name, write it down and hang up. now in two weeks time ring up at+t again and ask for 'xxx' supervisor and that you need to speak parsifically to her/him. once you are connected say that you work as an australian telecomm engineer and that have to test the lines today on calls from america to australia, then tell the supervisor that to do this you need an australian loop back number, in other words a number you could dial in america and then call back to australia or for the dense, a pbx. if all is gullable she should give you the number which might look like this.. 312/238-9923+6282+8+011+acn. if she becomes tough just say you have to test the lines today and that your in a rush. hopefully all goes well. some americans actually sell these codes and others on the streets. now i'd like to write some info on credit cards and carding here, the only thing that is to me of real interest in the h/p scene are calling cards so i can place my international calls and credit cards, for money, goods or whatever.. here i will list some ideas and facts on the carding this is just to 'educate' some of you so you don't fuck up and be put in jail for years!! lets go.. some card types the first digit of the credit card number (ccn) determines the credit card type. a list might be: 1st digit of card card type 3 american express 4 visa 5 mastercard 6 discover now heres some info on how to determine the bank from the first 4 digits of the ccn. in the first 4 numbers the bank name and branch are contained. lets have a list of some i know of, i don't have a recent list so there are others.. visa bankname 4019 bank of america 4024 bank of america 4052 first cincinatti 4060 navy federal credit union 4128 citibank 4131 state street bank 4215 marine midland 4225 chase manhattan 4231 chase lincoln first classic 4232 chase lincoln first classic 4241 nat. westminester bank 4250 first chicago bank 4271 citi bank preferred 4302 h.h.b.c. 4310 imperial savings 4317 gold dome 4387 bank one 4428 bank of hoven 4811 bank of hawaii 4897 village bank of cincinatti mastercard bank name 5215 marine midland 5217 manufacturers hanover trust 5233 huntington bank 5242 chevy chase federal savings 5254 bank of america 5263 chemical bank 5273 bank of america 5232 chase lincoln first classic 5286 chase lincoln first classic 5317 norwest 5323 bank of new york 5329 maryland bank na (mbna) 5410 citibank preferred 5411 1st fin. bank of omaha 5414 nat. westminester bank 5415 colonial national bank 5465 chase manhatten 5678 marine midland bank codes these are used in checking credit. later on, you will learn that while checking the ccn's for amount of credit, you will need to enter the bank id along with the merchant id. bank bank code chemical bank 1263 marine midland 6207,1207 m. hanover trust 1033 citibank 1035 huntington 1226 first card gold 1286 mbna 6017 chase manhatten 1665 bank from 5127 1015 the second group of four digits on the ccn contains the info on the maximum expiration date and maximum credit limit. the last two sections of four digits on the ccn tell you the identification of the card holder, using certian programs you can find other valid cards. now thats explained something about the actual cards, now you have to check if your card is valid and how much credit limit is on it. here is some credit card checkers in the us of a, sorry i don't have the id's or merchant numbers. visa/mastercard - 800/554-1111 bank number - xxxx merchant id - xxxxxxxxxx visa/mastercard - 800/554-2265 bank id - xxxx (ed.1067) merchant id - xx (52) american express - 800/528-2121 merchant id - xxxxxxxxxx discover card - 800/233-5656 merchant id - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx another way to verify cards is to try them on the 1800 sex lines. of all credit cards, discover is the big looser, and if you get a company that accepts it, use it! it will almost always work. credit cards from overseas are also real good and you will be getting everything you order with those. the best country for cards is australia by far. here is the set up of most of the cards...(in groups of significance) american express -- xxxx xxxxxx xxxxx visa -- xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx or xxxx xxx xxx xxx mastercard -- xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx discover -- xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx thats all for credit cards in this issue next issue in this chapter i will give some ideas and tips on how to actually card stuff and info on things such as drop points, how to do it, call back and how to pick the stolen goods up. before i kick the credit card story though for the extremly dumb witted i will publish here what a card looks like type: mastercard bank: na.city bank ohio private pin: 6334 name: william.e.allen address: 407 derrer road colombus, ohio, 43204, usa. drive licence no.:c55124015337641665 dob: 27/11/1928 phone: 614/274-9764 ssn: 552198757 card: 5333419321034162 exp.: 1095 this card is absolute full info and thats what they look like the hardest piece of identification to obtain is the private pin number and also the social security number (ssn) i am sorry to say to all the leeches out there that this card is burned, you may if you want ring the phone number and check if its really the guy, just say your the phone company and get the old geeks at+t card, how fun! -the summary- finally it has been finished, after many hours of key pressing on this old computer i'm satisfied at last. with next issue i hope to get a bigger help out with the editorial staff and recruit some talented sceners to help me with this mag. some more exclusives such as interviews with some big names. if you wanna do some gfx or music work for domination this is the format:- music speed: any, length: 1000-2400 gfx obviously two 16 color logos for the text displayer and main menu with the mag name. coverpages are very welcome in any gfx format, such as fli, super fli interlace, bitmap etc. with more support and help i hope to make this mag popular, i fully understand by releasing this that i am autmatically put in competition with leading magazines such as the pulse, revealed, reformation and vandalism. but my goal is the satisfaction of the reader and an up-to-date nice presented issue, that serves as the latest gossip for the pure c64 enthusiast. i hope you all enjoyed this issue and wait for the next issue in two months from now, stay tuned. -jazzcat/legend
